"The third approach to the bench is called the end approach. I'm facing or starting at the end of my bench. I can face the bench from the end, or I can face the front from the end. Again, if I'm teaching class, I would be facing at the end facing the side of the bench from the end. So, there's various steps that can be done from the end such as our basic step, or a t-step, or perhaps traveling across the bench with knee lifts, or again, from the end facing front, I can do what we call an across the top. Two, three, four, all our counts, movements have four counts. One, two, three, four. Step has emerged that we try not to do any tap down steps. So, in order to change that across the top where I'm tapping down on the floor, step up, up, down and tap. To change that movement I might add a little hop which lets me lead right, left, right, left, right, left so I avoid the tap down sequence. Again, those are our movements from the end, facing the bench, or from the end facing side."
