Today we are talking about putting., What we are going to talk about now is the stroke in putting. This is not the full golf swing but simply the stroke. One of the things that is very different in a putting stroke is we do not want the player to ever break the wrist. When you are taking a full golf string, this is very much involved in a full golf swing but when we are putting, we want to try and keep this wrist firm. We don't want to hold it tight. As far as grip pressure, he can still hold his light but what you want to do is really a maintain firmness in the forearms so that it affects the shoulder. You would see what happens this player actually forms a s triangle and in this triangle by moving his shoulders, will remove the entire triangle when this is firm. Again grip pressure can be really light. You can still have a feel when you are actually rolling a bar to et a distance but keeping the forearms tights and the hands come loose will help this create and form this triangle. Again a player at this point will not only have to move his shoulders and it acts in more of a pendulum stroke. Again we will check this player and you see as he moves back the putter you see that his hands are breaking and when he follows through, his hands will not break. A lot of times you will see players actually when they are taking the club back, they will come back all right, break their hands or they will break their hands coming through. Again that will affect the ball and how it rolls and a lot of times it is hard to judge your distance when that happens. As far as direction, it doesn't help either. Again this also helps your direction as far as the triangle. Again group pressure is going to be loose, forearms kind of firm and again you are just going to try to move the shoulders.
