"Hello! On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Bryan Pemberton and we are here at the Reserve at Spanos Park. We are going to talk a little bit about hitting the driver today and how you actually set up to hit a driver but one thing I kind of like to mention is now days the length of the clubs has actually gotten a little bit longer. About 10 to 15 years ago the average driver was probably 43 ½ length. They are now between 44 and 45. When you add that much length to a club, it is actually a little bit harder to get the club back to square. So a couple of things you can do to actually improve your driver game is actually a bit stronger grip and we will talk about that. But again it actually lengthen the driver and the length of the club these days is because it actually added a lot more clubbage speed to a swing and by having the larger heads you actually got a bigger sweet spot so there is less chance of actually hitting it off the middle of the club. So again the only reason to actually lengthen a club is to actually create more clubbage speed. Again that is going to make the club a little bit heavier for you and we will talk about how you can actually get around that to actually get the club to get a stronger grip. We are talking about the driver here and we got a down the line view here. We talked a little bit about moving the grip over to the right and moving the ball further up in our stance. One of the things you want to do is also you want to make sure your alignment is towards your target. Again a lot of times I will see people with their shoulders open, their feet closed and their hips somewhere in the middle. One of the things that this does is it cuts down on your ability to get behind the ball and turn which leads you very little time to get the club face square. So next time you are actually setting up, make sure that the shoulders, the hips and the feet are square. We will take a little bit stronger grip and just swing normal. "
