However, the facts are hard to deny, and unfortunately, women are targeted for a variety of violent crimes. The National College Women Sexual Victimization Study estimated that between 1 in 4 college women experience completed or attempted rape during their college years. "One out of every four college women surveyed have been raped or assaulted. So think about that. That means that every 4th person watching this has most likely experienced that serious reality. Hi, I'm Audrey Ronquilo with Expert Village and I'm here to share with you my knowledge about self defense. You know I got into martial arts because in my early college years I was actually physically assaulted and I never wanted to feel that helpless again. In my years being an instructor primarily to women and young children, I've come across and met other women who have been assaulted as well and it's very empowering for me to be able to give them tools so that they can defend themselves in any given situation. It's not about figuring out what ice cream combination you want when you walk into the ice shop, it's about knowing exactly what you're going to do and what you want before you even step into the store. So join me, this is Audrey I'm going to serve you up a power scoop of self defense."
