" Hello! My name is Harold Hall, Ft. Lauderdale Archers in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and today we are going to talk about tips and techniques of archery. On behalf of Expert Village, I would like to welcome you. Okay another safety aspect is when you come up to the target to pull your arrows, a lot of people normally grab hold of an arrow in the wrong position. If you grab it wrong, you can bend the arrow and when you do pull it out, you could injure a person. So actually the correct way to pull an arrow is to walk up to the target, you stand to the side of the arrow, grab a hold of the arrow with one hand up against the butt and that hand against the butt. What you do is pull the arrow straight out. What you want to make sure is that there is no one behind you or beside you when you pull the arrow. Otherwise you could get hit with this part right here and it can be as bad or hurt as bad as being hit with a point. If someone should jab you with it, that can really hurt so that is one of the safety aspects that we do when I teach a student. "
