Hello, I am Arthur DeBolt. In the previous video, we looked at the ball position in relative to the five iron; and I said to move the ball back with a wedge. Well, if you move the ball around, you are going to get penalties. So what I wanted to imply is that the index line sits in front of the ball. The index line sits in front of the ball; that means that your heel, where index is 90 degrees to the land of flight, would be in front of the ball. The club that I am using is the wedge. The index line is still going to be the bottom of my swing. My arm is still going to be across my shoulder, against my ribcage, and my grip is going to be the same, as simple and easy in these problems as possible. So, by holding the club behind the ball, you will notice that the club face is square, because that is where you want to make contact. If you pull it out in front of that, where the bottom of your swing is, you will notice that the club face is close a little bit. So the ball position is where you want the club face to be square. So shifting to the right, bringing the club up and bringing it down, I am now in a position to where my left shoulder is now at my left heel and the index at the same time. So that when I bring the club down, I do not want my shoulder to go past index; so the ball position tells me where to put my shoulders so that I get it to go straight.
