"Hello I am Arthur DeBolt on behalf of Expert Village. We are going to talk a little bit now about weight and posture. You see where you put your weight is the sense of balance, and the sense of posture causing you to be able to move yourself around, so that everything is flowing and has a certain ability to add your own rhythm and timing to the swing. So, when you have your weight set, you must keep your posture in exactly that same position to where your spine angle remains the same. When you set the club behind the ball, the spine angle is that this club shaft will probably be pretty close to 90 degrees to this angle of your spine. So if you have a longer club, it would be somewhere in this direction. But where you are, you must maintain the angle of your spine. So in order to do that, you want to be able to shift your weight to your right heel, so that you have the same angle of your spine, turn your body with the same angle, and your posture has to remain perfectly there, so that when you shift, your sense of balance on your weight shift is so that you can sustain your posture. The posture is very important. A lot of people think that you should relax. I have a way of looking at it as… if you are a soldier, and you are at attention, you’re very rigid you’re very precise; so now, if you say “at ease,” you can kinda take it as being standing at ease, that is the way you want to think when you are addressing the ball, and you are going to make your swing. Keep your body and everything you do at ease. So watch my swing, and I am going to show you now how to move your weight and your posture all at the same… as I come through to hit the ball."
