" Hi! I’m Angela on behalf of Expertvillage.com and right now I will be discussing the proper nutrition for training for a marathon. It is very important that you get enough carbohydrates. Often runners do not eat enough food before their marathon in which case they become deficient of their carbohydrate. It’s very important that when you wake up in the morning you have six ounces of orange juice. You get your sugars and the carbohydrates as well as a piece of toast with jelly on it and I would shy away from putting peanut butter or anything high in protein or fat on your food because those are more difficult to digest. You want to make sure that you have a limited supply of glycogen while you are running because that is stored in the liver. You want to have a lot of carbohydrates in order to be able to finish this run. Another way of achieving this and supplying yourself with this throughout the race is to have power gels on you at all times. They are also stored at the rest stations during the marathon, which happen about every hour. That is a proper way for gaining proper nutrition training for marathon."
