"Hi I’m Angela on behalf of Expert Village.com and right now I am going to show you a technique to increase your flexibility. Also people forget to massage their muscles because what you are doing when you are stretching is basically tearing them and the time that it is to repair them is when you actually see the result. Massaging the muscles decreases the risk of tearing your muscle. So what I usually do in a warm up before I go into intense stretches, is I just go through my muscles like this and occasionally I feel parts that are a little sore than others. It is very important that I detect that and massage that particular spot to reduce the risk of it tearing any more. It is kind of like if you find a knot in your back and it is painful. You don’t notice it right away but once it takes affect, it is difficult to really function. Same goes with the legs, arms, everything. Just want to massage parts that get the most activity. You can do the same with your arms but especially with increasing flexibility you want to focus on your groin area right here and your back especially for the yoga back bends. It is also very therapeutic and if you feel further injury you should see someone rather than just trying to massage it yourself. "
