"Hi I’m Angela on behalf of Expert Village.com and right now I am going to show you a way to increase flexibility in your back if you are just starting out. It is nice to have a ball because it supports you and it also stabilizes you; whereas if you are purely trying to stretch your back on your own, you run a risk of possibly injuring your back. It is very nice and very supportive What you want to begin by doing just sitting on the ball as I am right now and then just walk with your feet and slowly lay down on the ball and lean back. You will feel the stretch in your back also in your torso. It also helps balance being on this ball and stabilizing yourself to where you want to bend in a bridge on your own, you are already familiar with being stabilized. Just hold this breathing in and out. Breathing in and out like this increases the impact of the stretch because it is warming up the muscles. It also reduces injury. What you want to do is just slowly roll back up on the ball and go like this. Sit back down on the ball. You don’t want to stay in this stretch for too long. You run a risk of getting a head rush. "
