" Hi I’m Angela on behalf of Expert Village.com. Now what you want to have is a floor mat. You don’t want to do this just on carpet itself because it will be discomforting. What you want to do is just lie on your back like this and then push as much as you can and lean back putting your head back and hold this stretch for about 10 to 15 seconds while breathing in and out. You will be able to feel immediately a stretch in our back as well as a stretch in your stomach. You just wan t to hold this stretch. It is very relaxing and it is a very common yoga move for a warm-up. You don’t want to put too much strain on your back if you are beginning out. Just do this gradually like this and the more and more you do these stretches you will be able to increase it till we can bend over really far. "
