"Hi, I'm Ches Rainier, welcome to Expert Village. Today we're going to be talking about some techniques used to clean a fiberglass boat. So in this clip we're going to talk about cleaning hardwood floors. If your floor is dusty or has a whole lot of hair or dandruff on it, you can just use a brush and just brush it up really nice. That way you're starting with a clean surface that's less abrasive for when you go over with your wet pad. There are a lot of different floorings they use on boats. This one happens to have a wood floor and the top area here has got a nice varnish on it. I've been waxing it before, but it makes it really slippery, especially with wet feet, so I'd stop waxing it, it gives you a little better traction. So what I use now is I just use some cleaner wipes. It's got a little cleaning solution on it, and it's also got a little bit of wax in it because you need to wax every once in a while to get a built up layer of protection against regular grime on your feet, otherwise it's just going to scratch right into the varnish there. So, just grab your wipe and go crazy."
