"Hi, I'm Ches Rainier, welcome to Expert Village. Today we're going to be talking about some techniques used to clean a fiberglass boat. All right in this next clip we're going to go over some procedures for waxing the boat. This works well on a fiberglass boat or some painted spots on the boat. Really soaks up the wax nice and leaves a nice finish. Lasts a couple weeks, the water kind of beads off, dirt doesn't stick as well to it. But if you haven't waxed the boat in a month or so, you want to hit it with some wax. I just use regular car wax, some good stuff. You want to make sure you're not in direct sunlight when you do it, as per the manufacturer's instructions. And you just apply it, wait until it dries up, and then buff it off. So you can see, just buff it off once it dries off. There's a pretty dramatic difference between the waxed area and the non-waxed area and probably have to go over this a second time, get a good coat build up on here, and then the next time you clean your boat you won't have to do it."
