" Hi! I’m Brian from Eastern Mountain Sports and on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip we’re going to be discussing the importance of hydration and first aid. Hydration is very, very important at any kind of physical activity you’re going to be doing, anytime you get dehydrated you loose it’s muscle fatigue, you know dehydration causes dizziness, it causes loss of vision so your number one thing is going to be water. I always, always carry a form of water whether it’s in a bottle or in a what’s called a Camelbak, Camelbak is a great idea because it is a water bladder that’s on your back, you have it constantly with you, it doesn’t weigh much and it has a hose that you can physically run to your mouth and you can use at anytime you don’t have to take a bottle up to your mouth. Some people don’t like to drink a whole lot of water so they’ll flavor it up with you know some Gatorade or something of that sort, the key to it is plenty of water, there’s no such thing as too much water. As far as nutrition bars go you just want to make sure that you’re staying high in protein and you’re staying high in carbs because you burn a lot of carbs in any kind of physical activity you’re doing and the more you replenish them the more fuel your body can use and the longer days will be and the less tired you’ll be at the end of the day."
