"This tubing exercise is going to combine upper and lower body together. I am going to have you take the handle and place it through the opposite handle so you make a little loop. We are going to take that and put it all the way around your ankle not just around your foot for safety. It is best if you have pants or high thick socks on and then I'm going to have you step on the tube to create the resistance and we're going to be doing abduction with the lower part of the body and abduction of the shoulder on the opposite side. So you have the gluteus medias activated and you also have the middle deltoid. You're also adding a balanced challenge if you try not to touch the working leg down to the floor. If you need more resistance, step in further, hold down on the tube and you've created more resistance not only for the shoulder but for the hip as well. So that's a little combination exercise where you can combine more upper and lower body and get more bang for your buck."
