Introduction

How To Wire Low Voltage Deck Lights and Post Caps - Part 6 The Transformer - Attach one side of your 12-2 or 16-2 low voltage wire to one side of Transformer and the same with the other side. If you are using a Malibu Transformer one side goes in A and the other in B. Kichler Transformer - one side in Common and one side in proper voltage slot.

Step1
Most of the time you will have 1 or 2 runs of wire coming into your transformer. Split the wires and strip them about an inch down.
Step2
If you are using a Malibu transformer you will put one side of the wire into slot A and one into slot B. Do this with all runs coming in. If you are using a different transformer the step is the same, but the slots may be described differently.
Step3
Screw the wires down tight and hang the transformer and plug it in. Then make sure to test it and check each fixture to make sure they are all working correctly.
