How To Wire Low Voltage Deck Lights and Post Caps - Part 3 - Using a 1 3/4" Forstner Bit drill down over your auger bit hole. Drill down about 2 inches. This hole is to make room for your wire connections to be tucked in under the light socket.

Step1
Drill a hole with the Forstner bit just off center and over your auger bit hole about 1.5" deep to accomodate wires.
Step2
When you are finished drilling all the posts, use your shop vac or blower to get as much of the sawdust out of the holes as possible.
Step3
A clean workspace makes your job easier and mistake free.
