How to make hoods for cameras and monitors

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    First measure the monitor screen.

  2. Step 2

    Transfer these measurements to piece of cardboard, be sure to add 1/8 inch for the fold.

  3. Step 3

    To make the hood a pyramid shape, remove 1 inch from both side of the side panels and 2 inches from the top and bottom panels. Be sure to leave 1/8 inch at top to help hold the hood together while taping.

  4. Step 4

    Tape the corners, inside and out, as well as the edges.

  5. Step 5

    Next make a small hole on both sides to secure the hood to your monitor with rubber bands.

  6. Step 6

    Take 2 paper clips and straighten one end and bend the other end to a "J" shape.

  7. Step 7

    Insert clips in holes and bend the straight end on the inside of the hood. The "J" should be on the outside.

  8. Step 8

    Paint black and attach the hood to the monitor with rubber bands. and you now have a hood. It is better to watch the video for more details.
