Series Summary

Acne vulgaris, or common acne, can be an annoying skin disease that causes, at least, mild embarrassment and irritation; serious cases can crush a person’s self-esteem, spurring bouts of depression, or even suicide. Pimples usually first start appearing in our early teens, when puberty begins and our bodies are undergoing strange transformations at the behest of some powerfully concentrated hormones. The acne problem only adds to the pile of things teenagers are trying to sort through without drowning in a sea of identity shift and life change. So when acne shows up on the face, the urge to run and hide is especially uncontrollable.

Acne is a localized inflammation of the skin, caused by a buildup of dead cells and oil in the pores. This buildup creates an ideal environment for certain types of bacteria and yeast to develop, causing a skin irritation. Though acne most often appears on the face, chest, back, shoulders, and upper arms, for a lucky few, it never shows up at all. Some dermatologists suggest it could be hereditary, and most agree pimples are not caused by poor diet and bad hygiene. Although some people are left with physical and emotional scars, for most of us, acne goes away when we get older.

In this free skin care video series, learn how to get rid of acne. Our skin care professional has some natural treatments that will leave you with skin that is fresh and rejuvenated. The steps in her natural acne remedy include a cleaning and exfoliation process, using steam to clean the pores and detoxify the body, pus extraction, and protecting the skin from sun damage and future breakouts.

What you are consuming in a body is very important. Detoxing your system and basically keeping your skin clean and applying and using the right products. Natural products are the most important products that we can use on our skin. No chemicals, no toxins or artificial coloring that also have to promote bad skin. To be able to get a natural product you need to use on your skin, this can be discuss with your aesthetician when you are going to get a facial done, and she'll be able to supply you with products or to give you the right web site or companies that you need to purchase these products from."
