"GRAYDON BLAIR: My name is Graydon Blair from Utah Biodiesel Supply, and on behalf of Expert Village, I want to teach you a little bit about how long it's going to take to make biodiesel. From start to finish, plan on spending at least 10 to 20 hours a week making the fuel. You need about two to three hours to go out and collect the oil. You're going to bring it home and you want to put it in a place that's not where your neighbors and all your friends and stuff are going to be tromping through. You want to keep it somewhat clean. For the actual producing of the biodiesel, you want it in a well ventilated area where it's safe. Remember to have a fire extinguisher nearby and then you can make your biodiesel. It's also important that you don't have other people distracting you while you're making biodiesel. You're dealing with flammable substances and flammable things; you need to be safe. Also remember your safety gear. We've talked a little bit about safety glasses, safety gloves, and an apron. And then, after you've started making the biodiesel in your processor, you want to pour your--put your oil in, allow the equipment to do its job, separate off the glycerin, and then we're going to talk about washing down the road. Again, for great tips on all of this, go to biodieseltutorial.com. It's an open-source website; it will give you a lot of information on biodiesel."
