"GRAYDON BLAIR: My name is Graydon Blair on behalf of Utah Biodiesel Supply and for Expert Village, I'm going to show you now how to calculate how much lye you need from the titration. We know that it took--we got 7.6 from our titration. So, this is how many grams? We start with so 7.6, we add 3 to it which is 10.6. Let's say, we have 100 liters of oil to keep the math simple, 100 liters times 10.6 equals, figure it up, 10.6 times 100 is 1,060 grams. So, it's going to take a 1,060 grams of KOH to make our biodiesel, this 100 liters. This is how we calculate, though, 1,060 grams of K.O.H."
