"Hi, this is John Michaels with Expert Village; today we are going to talk about how to buy a used car. In this segment we are going to talk about appraising a used car. Don’t be scared to take a look and get a few other opinions of what you believe a used car is worth. Based on some of the information that I provided you earlier on this tape, you may take a look and appraise a used car for yourself. Not only that, you can take that car on a test drive, take it to another dealership and have them tell you what the value of that car is. That will be a great plan for you to figure out how to negotiate later on when it comes down to buying that used car. If you are buying that used car from a private party, take it to a dealership and ask them what the car is worth. I am sure they will be happy to appraise it for you and let you know what the wholesale value of that car is. That is a great way of making sure that you are getting the most car and not spending more money than you have to for it."
