"So, a lot of people ask me "what is the required or necessary physical conditioning in order to perform a butterfly twist?" I mean obviously you're lifting your body above the ground and rotating 360 degrees. There's no specific requirement in terms of weight, or strength, or muscle mass. It's basically if you have a good, healthy muscle to weight ratio then you should be able to perform this movement. Now, at a minimum you should be able to, be able to lift your legs up to probably your waist height as you're going to be rotating like this in this direction. Also, good conditioning you should have if you want the movement to look as good as it can is to have good thigh strength and also calf and some ankle strength because you are going to be squatting and jumping. And basically more so jumping with your left leg. So some types of workouts or exercises I like to do are either squats or simply just use your own body weight jumps like this. And also these. Just various jumps that get your body used to your own body weight. Also, it's good to do a, basically a stretch, and also a workout for your back muscles these ones right here, because as you lift up you're going to be using your abs and your back muscles to help torque your body around. So it's always good to do, to do sit-ups like this, and also work on your sides, your abs all around as well. So, as you focus on these and have these basic conditionings met then you will be able to do the butterfly twist."
