"I’m Alex. I’m from Missoula All-Maggots in Missoula, Montana. Today we’re going to learn 2 things about picking a ball up from run and other basic concepts. We start off with, when you are running on to the ball there are 2 main things to think about. One, how am I going to not knock the ball along and lose possession immediately. Two, how am I going to cover up so I am not immediately hit and hurt. The first thing you have to do is come in to the ball. The leading hand drags back to the other and tug off under for a run. That way you’re not exposing any of your tender parts, like your stomach and your face. Leading with the shoulder, the knee and the hip. Dragging it back like that, you’re not going to knock the ball on. Move faster now. "
