"Hi, I'm Albert Hedgepeth here with Expert Village and today we are going to talk a little bit about planning a camping trip on a boat. The reason that planning a camping trip on a boat is different is because all the major influences of camping are still there. You've still got weather, the water is a totally different terrain, and it brings up a lot of different influencing factors that can really determine how successful the trip is. Some of the major things you need to be concerned about whenever planning a trip on the water in a boat are making sure you have enough fresh water, making sure you have enough fuel, making sure you have picked some anchor spots and also making sure that everyone on board is a swimmer. If people are not as secure on the water, a lot of times it's important to just go ahead and put them in a life jacket and make them feel more comfortable about being on the boat. If you run through all these things and you got fuel, you got water, you got food, you got a refrigerator; most of the times it's just about picking a safe spot that's out of the wind where your boat can fall into irons and you guys can enjoy the water as long as you do this most camping trips on the water are a blast."
