on 8/2/2008 To some extent it depends on the type and quality of skates and bearings used. Adam's skates are not moving very quickly here because he has an aggressive inline skate setup of only 2 wheels down on each skate limiting the speed somewhat versus 4 wheels down. Make sure that you have a grass area nearby before you try picking up any speed. Obviously dont go fast if you cannot stop. " Hey guys, I am Adam Silverstein on behalf of Expertvillage.com In this next clip I am going to show you guys how to control your speed, so now that we have already practiced pushing up and going. It is important to know that there is different ways to vary the speed that you are moving at. Now watch if I just push off slightly with a little movement barely picking my feet off I am going to have a mellow paced movement and I am not going to go very fast. But if I take my feet off more almost like I am running, I will be able to push off much harder to go much faster. Now watch the difference between these two. In this clip I am going to go really slow by barely picking off my feet. Now watch how lightly I push off, pushing off very lightly I barely pick up my feet and it gives me a nice pace. This is mostly just for moving around recreationally, but now if I really want to generate speed I have got a really explode off the ground by making large bounce in to my legs so when I am going to get down even lower, and I am going to push off now watch, push, push, push, push, nice.
