"Hi! This is Aaron Fruitstone from Chi Martial Arts in Miami Shores, Florida. You can reach us on the web at www.chimartialarts.com. The next beginning Brazilian jiujitsu technique that you will be learning is a double cross choke from the closed guard. Now this is the same choke that you can perform from the mount, you can perform it from the knees, you can even perform it from side control but they are in a much safer position in guard, much harder for them to get to your back or get you on the side because they are trapped inside your legs. So what I am going to do is I am going to reach out open up the gi with my thumb up slide as far up into the collar as I can, trying to wrap it around the back of her head. With my opposite hand I am going to reach under keeping my thumb up until both of my hands… I get my fingers to touch. I am going to close my hands, start to bend my wrists and pull my elbows down to my sides. When Liz feels pressure, she’ll tap. She is going to feel pressure strangulating on both sides of her neck. Again palm up as high as you can, reach in, close the hands, make fist, elbows down and in and choke. "
