"Another really fun repeater variation is a hesitation. Again, it's going to put rhythm changes in. Our basic repeater is the 3 knee lifts, or perhaps 3 side kicks. Now, I want to kick it up a notch, make it a little more fun, a little bit more interesting, so I have a hesitation. Counts are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. We hesitate on top of the bench, do what we call a little pendulum kick. A lunge from the top of the bench, a knee, and a step down. Again, it’s hesitation with a little lunge or a little pendulum lunge, knee, hesitation, pendulum, lunge, knee. You have to be very aware of where your foot placement is on the step. Glance down at your step. Once you have your balance on the step, and this does take balance to do this and agility, you kind of look forward instead of keep focusing down at the step. You're going to round your back if you do so. Step and dance needs to be with a full body extension. Hesitation repeater is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8."
