"Okay, so before you do the aerial you want to make sure that you have enough space to do it. Now, let's just take a look. If you're going to be running and jumping you want to have at least a good amount of space, probably eight or nine large steps, so that there's nothing in your way when you?re doing the aerial. The last thing you want is to be doing and aerial and then hitting a counter top. It's definitely not going to be a good or very pleasant experience. Also, for gear what you want to have is some loose fitting clothing, something that is comfortable, especially if you are doing it for your first time. You may also want to have some knee pads or I like to wear some ankle support just to give yourself extra protection when you're doing a little bit more dangerous or more physically strenuous movements. Now, also, you want to make sure that, it's very important to have loose pants. You want to make sure that you can be able to kick up, maybe at least above your waist height so that it's flexible. Like I said before we are going to be kicking up to do this aerial movement and you don't want this part, between your thighs, to be too tight because that is going to restrict you in doing a proper and good, graceful looking aerial."
