"OK so let's get right into the gainer. Now to set up for the gainer I'm going to step over here and show you. Now you can basically take as many steps as you want to build up that forward momentum. But for this purpose I'll just take a few slow steps like so until this final step, which I'm going to talk about and I'll show you again. So for our purposes I'm going to go in an arch shape so that when I kick I end up in this same line so I take a look. I'm running, running, running, now I'm back in the same line, this line from where I started. So if I go backwards I'm back here from this arch shape. This will just help us in terms of our momentum to bring us straight back because if our line shifts, although we're kicking this way but our bodies are facing a different way then we're not going to be using the full torque or momentum to go in the proper direction. So in any case, we take this first initial step and we kick out this left leg and plant it. The second that it plants, then our body has basically stopped the forward momentum and if we kick it hard and stop it, then all of that energy is going to shoot upwards instead. Now we take that as it kicks down to start using our right leg. So this is basically, I'll go over it one more time, the set up for the gainer. Right here. And that, from running forward, forward, forward, and stop, shoots us up once we kick and jump. And I'll show you the next steps in the following clips."
