Turning on the Ceiling Fan with Universal Remotes

"Hi, my name is Tony Ramirez and on behalf of Expert Village this is how to program your universal remote. Enjoy. Chapter 11-Programming for Your Appliances and other Home Electronics: In this chapter we're going to add a ceiling fan. So, using our Logitech Harmony software, we're going to add a new device. Under the selection you want to choose Home Automation, click next. Once you're in it asks you what type do you want lighting controls, climate controls, or other home appliances. In this case climate control will have our fan, click next. Now we choose our manufacturer. The fan we're going to use is a Hampton Bay so look for that, once selected click next. Now we type in our model number, click next. Once everything is correct, click that everything is correct, hit next. Just like that you've added a control for your climate, in this case a fan. Enjoy."
