Hybrid Digital Cameras

"The other main thing I wanted to mention is, you can sometimes even get better pictures with this little camera because it's so much less intrusive. You can hold this up to your face and the person you are taking a picture of might not even notice that you have this camera, where if you're lifting this camera up to your face it can sometimes be quite obvious and affect the way someone's behaving that you want to photograph. There's a third kind of camera that's available now called a hybrid. It's a composition of some of the features of the compact digital cameras and some of the features of a digital SLR. The main thing is it's got a little bit of a bigger body, it's shaped more like the body of the DSLR, but you cannot change the lens. So it offers you a little bit more control than anything you can get with the smaller camera and it still is an easy, intuitive camera to use. So for some people it's a good fit because it costs less than a DSLR but it is a little more feature heavy than a compact digital camera."
