In this clip we are going to discuss the care of your 35 mm lenses. 35 mm lenses can be purchased for as little as $100 and as much as $4000 and more. To ensure the life of your lens and the clarity of your pictures, it is necessary to protect them and keep them clean. First thing you should do when you purchase a lens is to also purchase a UV filter for the front of the lens. These filters just screw on to the front of the lens, they are quite inexpensive in relation to the cost of the lens and if you ever drop the lens or bump it with something with the filter on the front, the filter will take the brunt of the impact and all you will have to do is you replace the filter instead of the lens that you purchase. To keep the lenses clean, you may use tissue paper for lenses, you may use swabs like this or 100% cotton cloths. All you are going to do is just brush the dust. If there is any dust on here brush that off and blow on it gently. Do the same thing on the front. If you prefer not to blow on the lenses with your breath, you can also purchase cans of compressed air. It is important to keep your lenses clean and safe to ensure a long life with those lenses. "
