The first camera dates back to 1685 but the technology was not in place at the time to allow it to function properly. Finally, after 150 years the first photograph was taken in 1826 by Joseph Niepce. Since then the camera has truly changed the way we see the world. Photography lets us save moments in time as return to them later in life. Also, from the invention of the camera came the telescope and now we are able to see things miles and even light years away.

In today’s day and age, there are two basic types of camera, 35 mm film and digital. Here we have a 35 mm film disposable camera that is available for purchase anywhere from $6-10. This is an example of a 35 mm film point and shoot camera which you may purchase anywhere from $50-$450. This is an example of a 35 mm film single lens reflex camera which could run you anywhere from $400 up to $1500. This is a point and shoot digital camera, which could run you anywhere from $150-$550 depending on the number of mega pixels that you have purchased for that. Finally this is an example of a digital single lens reflex camera. "
