"The next set up I'm going to talk about is using a Shotgun as well as a Dynamic Microphone. What kind of set up would we use this for? I almost see this as kind of a, just a safety. If you had some kind of reporter type person on camera who's using your Dynamic Microphone to talk into, your Shotgun is like your safety Mic to make sure you get everything. Another situation, maybe, this Dynamic was actually hooked up to a, maybe like a podium, fairly far away at some kind of a, like public speaking event. You're going to pick up your more ambient noise with your Shotgun, and again, just another kind of a safety option. Make sure you get the audio you need. Always remember, just like always, we're setting it to channel one so we get two different levels. Again, go back and remember how to set levels for each of these microphones and set them accordingly. Especially with the Dynamic. Remember the problem, if people get too close, they're going to blow out the levels. They need to know where to hold it correctly. Like I said, since this is a safety set up, if that did happen, you hit your reporter's talking to somebody who pulls the microphone up, right up to their mouth and completely blows out your second channel, you've got this safety audio on your Shotgun that's probably going to be pretty good and usable. Definitely think about using this set up as well. I don't see that using this as much as our Shotgun and Lav. set up, but it's something to think about."
