"Now I'm going to talk about troubleshooting audio issues with your Dynamic Microphone. First off, even through it does not require power, our Dynamic has an 'on' switch, so make sure you turn it on if you have that 'on' switch even through power is not required. Another thing is with this kind of microphone, the area of most pick-up is directly in front of the microphone and pretty close to it. Like I said, the range is, a Condenser Mic is picking up a lot more noise. But this Dynamic Microphone kind of has a lot smaller range, which is why it's good to avoid those background noises and you're pretty much only picking up the person talking straight into it. But, that leads to some problems, so definitely, when you do you're audio set-up, make sure the person, reporter, or whoever you're going to be filming, holds it where they're going to hold when you're shooting. You can't set Mic levels right here, and then start shooting and they start talking like this, your levels are going to get blown out. Or they can't set levels right here and then move down here, your levels will be way too low. Because, there's a big difference just between here and here in your levels. Literally dropping by half or more because the drop-off is so quick on this Dynamic Microphone. Be wary of that. Also, if it was some kind of reporter style interview, you want to make sure the reporter is holding the Mic for other people and not handing it to someone who is going to do the same thing, hold it up to their mouth. Make sure the reporter knows at what distance that they need to be holding it and always hold it that distance for them and for other people. You got to, kind of, coach them on how to use this microphone if they don't already know. That's your basic troubleshooting for a Dynamic Microphone and just that main issue is the fall off. Just a couple inches difference makes a big difference in your levels so, be wary of that when setting up levels on a Dynamic Mic."
