There are a couple of things that you can troubleshoot to see what’s going on. You want to make sure that you have a charged battery, which you may not. Make sure that you have a battery installed and that it is installed correctly. You want to make sure that your power switch is turned to on. Sometimes on DV camcorders, it will have a lock setting. You want to make sure it’s off the lock setting and just on on. If it’s on lock it will not record. The best way to do that is to call whoever made your camcorder; Panasonic, Sony, and ask for a technician that works on that type of camcorder in your town, you can look it up on the Internet, or you can refer to the Yellow Pages.
