"Now I'm going to show you how to set up this Lavalier system on the XH A1. All Lavalier's are going to be a little bit different, mine happens to be shoe mountable, which means I can mount in on this little shoe up here on my XH A1. So that's what I'm going to do. Your Lavalier might not be shoe mountable, but most likely it'll have something like a little clip on it that you can attach to your belt. In which case, you'd just be running an XLR out and attach it to your belt. Still wireless, still great for the most mobility. Since mine shoe mounts, we'll have this short mini to XLR cable. All Lavalier systems are going to be different, but my receiver uses a mini. So, go ahead and screw that in. I just want to plug in, if I'm only using one microphone I always go into channel one. So, and there it all clicks. Obviously I've situated the cord so it's not in front of my lens. Now, let me set up our transmitter which is our actual microphone. I'm just going to plug in our mic, and then I would have our talent, whoever's on camera, run the microphone up through their shirt and clip it to their shirt somewhere in this general area. It works a lot better if the person has on a button up shirt, because it just clips right on there. Then you want to hide this in the back somewhere and hide all this excess cable. That's basically how you get your Lavalier of the XH A1. Next I'll finish it up by showing you how to set those levels and make sure everything is good to go so you can start shooting."
