"The first way to hook up an external microphone, and the easiest way to hook up an external microphone to your XH A1, is using the mic terminal that's available on the handle. This is right below this little microphone holder, right here, you can see right in here it just says mic. That's actually a microphone input. What it is, is it is an 1/8" input which is like a mini. This is like pretty much any headphones you've ever used. I use a mini input and it kind of looks like this. It's technically an eighth inch. If you want to use this terminal, you have to be using a microphone that connects with a mini plug like that. Or, you'll need some kind of adapter like this. This is like XLR to a mini, if your mic connects by XLR. So, think about that. You've got to think about your connections and buying a bunch of adapters. I just have a bag full of adapters, audio adapters that I use whenever I need them. It's a good thing to pick this stuff up anyway. Definitely pick it up and know what your mic connects as and know what you need to connect it if you want to be using this mic terminal."
