"Now I want to talk all about what's on your display. And this is on both our LCD pullout and your viewfinder, if you're using your viewfinder, this is what you'll see. Up here in the top left is an exposure setting. Extremely useful. Basically, the most proper exposure is in the middle there. Especially if you're using manual settings you need to adjust your Iris ring accordingly. You see, I just got a little bit whiter and it got really bright and that line went up and I bring it down so that it's about in the middle, that's what I want the camera thinks the most proper exposure is. Below that, you see an 'M' that means that's basically what's operating mode wrong, which is manual right now. So, if I change that, you see that changes and we also lose some functions depending on what display we're on. In this program mode the exposure is set automatically so that our little dial went away. Below that, you see shutter speed 1/24 and you can see how it changes when I change the shutter speed. Below that, you see our ?F stop' which is the controls on our Iris ring. Over to the right, you see a plus or minus here, or D/B and that is your gain, how much gain you have on. I always leave it off, of course. Then to the right of that we have our video format, we're in HDV at 24 frames a second. You see we've got out stop that's switched to record or whatever when we start recording. Below that is the time code, and then you've got kind of your tape indicator, a battery indicator, and that little hand means that image stabilization is on. The very bottom right hand corner you can see our audio levels, which you can see moving as we're talking. Another great thing to have on the display to watch your levels as you're filming. Then, to the left you can see that little sun represents what White Balance preset we're on. That will change when I change. Below that, we're on a custom preset which one we're on. Below that you see 'IAF' that means image auto focus. It will switch to an 'MF' if manual focus is on. Below that you see 'CFN2' and that is our custom function two and that just gets into the super customizable features. That's basically your display. You've also, right where the hinge of the LCD is, you see this little 'DISP' and that means, when you hit it you lose a couple of things, if you hit it again, you lose all your information. This basically gets the stuff out of the way if you just want to see the picture and not worry about those. If I hit that button again, it comes back up. I like to leave it on there to get everything set and then, if I feel like turning it off so I can get a full view of what I'm filming looks like, I'll do that by hitting that display button."
