"Hello! I’m Ross on behalf of expertvillage.com. Let’s talk about consumer camcorders. What is interval recording? Just like the name implies it records in intervals. In this one here, I can go into the menu and go down to interval recording and I can turn it on or I can set it. Now when I set it I can set the interval like every 30 seconds, one minute, five minutes or every ten minutes. You know how you see the time lapse photography going by or like the sun is setting or the plants are growing things like that. You can set this and then the record time can be set in this one to half a second, one second and one half a seconds and two seconds. So when it comes on it will record for that length of time and that’s interval recording. So you can set upon a tripod so it is nice and stable and want to record a part or scene for just a few seconds every 30 seconds or so or every minute that’s interval recording."
