" Hello! I’m Ross on behalf of expertvillage.com. Let’s talk about consumer camcorders. Tripods, monopods, yes they’re very useful. On the bottom here, there’s a connection just like a still camera would have and that would connect to your tripod or monopode. A monopod is a single leg. So when you set it down it keeps it stable. Now tripod has the three legs so one fall over anything like that but something to hold it stable can help your shots look a lot better. These little cameras can be a little hard to hold stable but you can get your hand in there and a good grip and rest your elbow into your side a little bit or lean against something and that can help."
