"Hello! I’m Ross on behalf of expertvillage.com. Let’s talk about consumer camcorders. Let’s talk about photo mode. Photo mode is simply taking a picture with your camcorder. Now realize when you take a picture the number of pixels is not that high typically, there are some camcorders starting to come out, they’re getting up there where they’ll be usable for decent stills but most of the still are not, unless they are going to be very small images like web based images, this one has a button in the back and it’s photo so if I’m not recording with the tape, it is in standby mode I can go ahead and press this down so if I go ahead and compose the picture so okay there I push this button down and there are two steps to it, one is to like freeze okay, I like it and if I like it push it down and it will go ahead and record it and it can be recorded typically two different ways this one has a memory card that you can put in it to record to that or you can record right to tape."
