"Okay, so now I want to talk about what might be the most important accessory to protecting your camera, except for maybe a case because obviously a case is going to protect it a lot. But this is a lens protector. So you see here, this is just a lens hood right here and to take this off, you unscrew this little screw right here and then just kind of twist and pull it straight off. So the lens hood is to keep out sunlight from getting in, extra light shooting straight into the lens. See we have our lens cap on, we'll go ahead and remove that, and here is my lens protector. You may think it looks just like an ordinary lens but actually this is something I had to buy and it can screw on to the actual lens here, so here is the real lens and the reason I have this protector, is because, if for some reason anything like splatters up into my lens I want it to ruin this, you know much, much cheaper protector and not my actual lens. If for some reason this broke or you got something really, really sticky on it, that's just not good. I was shooting kind of a, with my old camera, kind of a little horror movie and got some fake blood on my lens, it was very upsetting because it was basically Karo syrup and very sticky. So I will go ahead and just tell you, buy a good quality one, Tiffen makes great lenses and lens protectors, its 72 millimeters which is the size of our lens here and this is just a UV protector, it's clear and it gives you a little UV protection as well. But you can buy just a regular clear one as well. And you will see, just like you saw me screw it off, you just screw it right on, straight there and they actually have other great lenses, like some that give kind of a warm glow and just a lot of different options out there, but definitely pick up a clear one and always leave it on as a lens protector. And also you probably want to pick up like a micro-fiber cloth to be able to clean this as well. And obviously always leave your lens cap on when you are not shooting so that's a little bit about protecting your lens and definitely buy a lens protector, a 72 millimeters on the Canon XH A1."
