Accessories for a Canon XH A1 Video Camera

"Okay, so now I am going to talk about some real basic accessories that you will need for your XH A1 and these are things that I really think you should be buying at the same time that you are buying your camera, because I consider them almost necessary to protecting your camera and to being able to use your camera effectively. First off, is just a tripod, and definitely get a good quality tripod, if you can afford it. Those little plastic ones don't really do that much good. This is a Manfrotto which is one of the best, pretty much the best brand of tripod I think. It's got a fluid head which allows for real fluid movements, your cheaper tripods don't have this fluid head and get real jerky movement, so definitely try to get a fluid head high quality tripod. The next thing, very important is buy a case for your camera. Make sure that it is going to fit the XH A1, I mean this is bigger than your, you know little handi-cams. Also usually you want cases that have those Velcro dividers, so that you can put some other stuff in there as well. The next pretty important accessory is a long life battery. As you can see, this is a lot bigger than the battery that came with the camera and that basically means it's got a lot longer life. Make sure that when you are buying it, it is for your camcorder. I mean, this one is by Canon, so obviously it is and yeah, definitely pick one of these up, I have two of them and they will last for a very, very long time, I can't even quite say for sure, but very long. So, another accessory is just pick up some headphones, quickly you are going to want them on your audio through your camera and pick up some over the ear headphones like this, you don't want just a, using a little ear buds, that is not really going to help, so pick up some nice quality over the ear headphones, they will be a great thing to have. And last, just some tapes and you know, you're going to need tapes. And yeah, that's pretty much it, there are some other accessories as well but I'll get into those later and actually next we're devoting an entire clip to the most important accessory which is a lens protector, so definitely watch the next clip and buy a lens protector."
