"ALICE MONSAERT: This exercise for your hot leg program is a reverse lunge and then we're going to add a hip extension. So I'm going to show you on the floor first. Step back into reverse lunge and then hip extension here. You're also doing knee extension but you're going into that hip extension or you might want to call it a ballet position, arabesque. Lunge and lift. Increase the intensity. Step up to your bench and perform the same movement, reverse lunge, and then really pushing and powering off this leg to get to that hip extension. Reverse lunge, hip extension. The arms can do whatever they need to do to help you balance in your position. And, as always, external resistance of dumbbells to increase the intensity. So reverse lunge, and push to your hip extension, really targeting the glutes, not only on the working leg but the trail leg as well for your hot leg program."
