Offering Rewards in Customer Service

"In this section we're going to discuss some methods you can use in dealing with tough customers. I'm Pamela Unruh on behalf of Expert Village. Let's move onto a little bit more of a positive aspect of providing great customer service. Now providing great customer service as we said, not only helps the customer of course but it also helps your industry and your business. Now companies are becoming more and more dependent upon providing great customer service in order to maintain customer loyalty and long running business. But it's also very important to reward that among the employees who do provide it. Now rewarding great customer service just comes under offering incentives. You can reward great customer service as it happens or you can layout some contests or incentives for the employees as well. When you find out that someone is following these policies and procedures, then go ahead and give that employee a award, it cost so much less to reward someone for doing someone for doing what you've asked them to do in providing great customer service than to go out and bring in additional customers if other customers have decided to leave your business. Again it's a cost factor, it does cost very little but the rewards will go a very long way."
