What to Do With Left-Over Items from Garage Sales

"This is Ron with Expert Village talking about putting together a garage sale. One thing that you want to do is you want to look at your items and if it's not something that you're going to wear, if you have 500 items of clothes here and 90% of them you haven't worn in the last year, you know what? Stop yourself, take the plunge, pack them up, go find an organization who really needs those items. At our last garage sale we went around and we decided you know what, we're going to pick a few items and we already knew before hand what they were that we're going to keep, everything else goes to shelter or to a charity, whether it be Goodwill, Salvation Army, we found a women's rescue mission downtown and they were just thrilled to have the items. Some of these dresses that have been sitting around waiting to be sold in garage sales or sitting in closets for years, the women's shelter were very excited to have them and it helps them out. You're going to feel a lot better too knowing that your clothes instead of sitting in a closet are helping somebody out."
