"Welcome! This section is called providing great customer service. I'm Pam Unruh on behalf of expertvillage.com. In the last basic element of customer service that we are going to discuss is being courteous. Now I have this listed as using common sense because it is a very common sense factor of providing great customer service that you do want to and need to be courteous to your customer. Now does that need to be repeated? That certainly does. Now again it is one of the low cost methods of insuring that you are providing great customer service. It doesn't take very long at all and it does make your customer feel as though they are important to you and your business. Now everybody knows that you should be courteous and again, it does bear repeating. Sometimes if you had a bad day, it is very hard to take that extra time and be nice to a customer. Maybe you just dealt with another tough customer and don't feel like dealing with anybody else. Just remember whichever customer comes after even your toughest customer, that is not their fault. Different customer, different approach. Always use common sense and that will round out nicely the basic elements of providing great customer service. "
