Now this will vary from business to business of course but every customer has very specific expectations. It doesn't matter what type of business you have but all customers want to have their questions answered, they want to have their questions answered honestly and they want to know that once they leave your business, they have all the information that they need in order to continue with you. Your customer expectations can be determined a number of different ways. Don't be afraid to ask the customer what would they like for you to provide them that day. Now many times based on the type of business that you have, the expectations are clear from the moment the customer either calls you or comes into your business. If you are working in a convenient store for example, you know your customer wants fast service and they want to have their items taken care of so that they can get in and out very quickly. "
